P.C.O.D. Is not a disease as such it is a group of symptoms. Which commonly includes

  1. Irregular menstrual cycle (Missed periods, irregular periods, or very light periods),
  2. weight gain ( especially central obesity)
  3. Dry skin,
  4. harshness of voice.
  5. hirsutism (Excess body hair, including the chest, stomach, and back),

Causes:-
Exact cause of PCOD is not known. But it is seen that mother having PCOD then daughter may have PCOD. Real sisters can have pcod.

Obesity increases possibility to develop pcod. It as well worsens the condition.

Stress also worsens the PCOD.

  • Panchkarma :- Panchkarmas Are done as per patients Requirement. Commonly Basti Can be Advised V aman And Virechan can Also be Done.
  • Diet :- Proper diet is advised as per requirement, commonly soft diet, plenty of fiber and fruits, and low salt diet is advised. Diet which can be helpful to maintain body weight and fat is also advised.
  • Exercise :- exercise is very important as far as P.C.O.D. is concerned. Brisk walking is must. And Cycling, swimming also helps a lot, yoga exercises like pranayama and meditation also helps.

Do’s and Don’ts if you have PCOD.

  • Brisk walking is a very good and Must do exercise if you are suffering from P.C.O.D.
  • As well as one can also do Swimming and Cycling, Jogging also helps a lot.
  • Yoga exercises, Pranayam, meditation also is good exercise and it also helps to manage physical as well as mental stress.
  • Don’t Take Sugary items, Processed Food , Bakery Items, Packed Food should be avoided
  • Don’t Smoke or avoid having alcohol
  • Do not Skip Meals.
  • Have sufficient sleep.
  • Avoid Physical & Mental Stress.
  • Maintain your body weight.
  • Do not neglect symptoms of depression.
